At some point I had access to some recordings of his lectures on meditation and I found him to be quite brilliant and inspirational. Unfortunately his body has left us but his teachings live on! And yes he is a great teacher.</description>

I am so glad that you have mentioned Eknath Easwaran in your excellent blog!  
When I worked at a public library years ago, we received a couple of bags of donated, used books.  I watched as my boss picked through them, setting aside any she thought were of no value.  She pulled out &quot;Meditation&quot; by Eknath Easwaran, made a mocking, dismissive face and then relegated it to the &quot;tossers&quot; pile.  But I was intrigued. My old boss with her cynicism and sour attitude...she helped change my life that day. Since she was going to get rid of the book, I decided to take it home to read and what a blessing!  I have Sri Easwaran&#039;s photo on my Buddhist shrine, and I bow with respect and gratitude to this great teacher.</description>
